Idea: 1 Night extravaganza with Gallery Nucleus where each artist is give a space to fill with 100 drawings priced at $100 each.
Due Date: May 2009
Requirements: In order to be in the group, the artist is required to upload works and numbers in progress EACH WEEK
Artists of Operation:
Fawn Fruits
www.fawnfruits.com
Mylan Nyugen
www.imginaryfriendship.com
Since we pretty much set this project we can have the final say in the selection of the artists.
Restrictions: We are looking for HIGH QUALITY works, as my drawings will be numbers 100-200 from my fawnfruits. com/fawnfruits series.
Mylan will have her kick ass girl power drawings and paintings.
The point of this show is to do massive work that is rich in detail.
Mylan and I are NOT in it for the money but for the promotion of our works.
This event will only be 1 night. At the end of the night, the buyers will be able to take home the works.
The Space: If you haven't been at Gallery Nucleus, it's a BIG BIG space. We have the opportunity to fill the place with hundreds, if not thousands of works by prolific artists.
If this is you, please join us on facebook.

This is an open event so feel free to tell all your friends.

ALL IN ALL, THIS EVENT IS TO HELP THOSE WHO NEED A BIG BREAK. If you can finish 100 drawings, you can hang with us.
by drawing does this mostly mean the minimum requirement is just like b/w pen/ink line drawings? also what kind of dimensions are you looking for? does it matter?
hmmm, by high quality, i meant, not stick figure and something that the buyers would consider. thts really up to you. if andy worhal pee'd on his canvas, I bet you can sell it for at least a thousand dollars.
depending on where you are in your career i guess.
also, if you want to at least try, there is no harm in that.
Medium: Its a one night event, in the case that your works dont sell, just make it easy for the gallery to ship back. I like paper but if you want to do 100 canvas paintings then go for it. no stopping ya
I could do it, but I don't really think I'm ready yet. Need to work on getting down a process and a conceptual framework before I dive into something like what you propose. Still, sounds cool, and after I graduate doing something like this would probably be a great idea for me.
basically, this is just a way of doing tons of work and getting praised for it. there is no, you suck in my vocab. if you want to at least try it for a few days, just join the group. we are a bunch of supporters. if i see any type of that, ill just have to bump them from the group.
I'm not looking for superstars... trust me, i wont even mention their names even if they joined. What i am looking for is a team of supporters that will help each other attain their goals. in this case 100 drawings or paintings.
as far as framing, you can but itll be a bitch to ship it. i say, keep it simple so that you wont be charged so much.
Im going to put my drawings in a plastic sleeve and pin them up
i think i'd like to try this, but worry about how high quality my works would be. as far as like.. the medium goes, i guess. i'm a stickler for computer paper and mechanical pencils :p
I think it will be a good challenge for me because I usually take a long time on a single project. I'll see if I can just crank stuff (good stuff!) out.
aww nuts! I just talked to mr.mrs. fawnfruits and it's facebook only which means it's racist against me so I can't do it but it sounds fun so good luck to everyone involved!
